To say, “I have a say in this,” is not entitlement, it is the confidence of someone who knows to whom they belong. Jonah teaches us that even when our own disobedience brings a storm, God’s grace can call us again. Paul shows us that even obedience may lead us through storms, shipwreck and attack, but none of these can overturn the purposes of God. The storm does not have the final word. Hear His voice, stand in His call, and praise Him before you ever reach the shore.
