Ladies Retreat

Come enjoy a beautiful weekend away from all distractions for a time of rest, fun and connection. Our theme this year is ‘For Such A Time As This’. It means that everything that has happened to you was leading up to this very moment. Like God did with Queen Esther, He will accomplish His kingdom purposes through you. You may not have a royal qualification but you have the King’s favor upon your life. You have come to your unique position in life “for such a time as this.” Your anointing is for a purpose. God has chosen and preserved you for a purpose. You are placed in your family, in your workplace, in the church, in your community as God’s representatives “for such a time as this”. Be it a wife, a daughter, a mother, a sister, a colleague, a minister of the gospel or a believer walking through the streets, we have a huge mandate upon us to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our actions and conversations.

It will be held at Camp Nakamun, just an hour & 15 minutes drive from Edmonton. It has a warm & inviting atmosphere where women can relax in the beauty of God’s creation, enjoy biblical teaching and worship.

  • Open to women of all ages. Girls 13+ and nursing babies are welcome.

Young Adults Fall Hike

October 4, 2024 - October 6, 2024

WHAT: Road trip! Chilling and hiking with the ZAMIE YA 😊

WHEN:

  • Friday, October 4th – Sunday, October 6th
  • Check in Friday after 2 pm, check out on Sunday at 8 am
  • Leaving Friday morning will allow you time in the afternoon to explore or even do a short hike

WHERE:

PRICE:

  • ~$70 per person which includes lodging for Friday and Saturday night (may vary +/-$5 if there are more or less people)
  • Please bring change to help pay for gas if you are carpooling
  • Important: Please contact Yves, Taisa or Jolene if you would like financial support or would like to provide $ support for someone to attend.
  • Payment will be required ahead of time as we have to pay as a group. Please send etransfer’s to [email protected]

WHAT TO BRING: You will need to bring your own towel, bedding/sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, snacks and food, proper attire and footwear for -5 to +20 weather (A more detailed list to be provided in the coming days).

MEALS:

  • Food is not included so you will have to bring your own, however they have a full kitchen with appliances and everything you will need to cook and/or bake
  • Feel free to plan a meal with a friend or group

LODGE:

  • The lodge has 8 bedrooms (3 rooms sleep 8 / 5 rooms sleep 4) each with an attached washroom. There is a large kitchen and a spacious dining room that are available for guest use. 
  • They have a fire pit, BBQ, rec room, disc golf course, volleyball court, playground, etc.

ITINERARY:

Friday

  • Arrive on Friday, unpack, relax, explore, enjoy games or sports on the lodge grounds or go for a short hike

Saturday

  • Start with a quick, early morning breakfast
  • Leave shortly thereafter for our hike
  • Head out for a nice modest hike with great scenery
  • Return to the lodge for dinner

Sunday

  • If you are heading back to ZAMIE for church, then early start on Sunday to head back to Edmonton otherwise leave at your leisure by 11am.

Most importantly, pray for perfect hiking weather and safe travels for everyone!!
