David wrote Psalm 34 at the most difficult time in his life. Although he was terrified, he started by saying we need to praise the Lord all the time. Praise is not subservient to your circumstances but, rather, overcomes your circumstances. Can you say in your tough time “the Lord is good?”
Goodness as a person: Jesus is quintessential goodness. The enemy wants you to believe He is not good when you do not see your prayers being answered. He wants to deceive you. Jesus’ goodness is not determined by your situation.
Goodness as a thing: Goodness will follow you as things from God e.g. salvation, healing, peace, provision. You will lack nothing. God supplies what you need.
Goodness as a life essence: We are alive because of God’s faithfulness. We are alive because there is more goodness for us to see.
Goodness as an extension: When you look at the face of God, your face will radiate his goodness. When others look at you they will see the goodness of God flowing out of you. You are blessed to bless others. Taste and see that the Lord is good!
