God’s power was never meant to stop with miracles, it is meant to transform lives. It is to produce His character within us. God has given His people everything they need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are called to move beyond simply receiving God’s promises and to pursue the character of Christ. Peter reminds the Church that faith is meant to grow into virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. As these qualities continue to increase, we become fruitful in our walk with Christ, stand firm in our faith, and faithfully reflect Jesus to the world around us.
