Now therefore what have I here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Their rulers wail,” declares the Lord, “and continually all the day my name is despised. Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore in that day they shall know that it is I who speak; here I am.” How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52 5-7
Our God is righteous and gracious. Praise His name! When we are under enemy’s oppression, which could be diseases, financial stress or relational issues, what causes Him to bring us salvation is often not what we do, but what the enemy did. The righteous heart of our God cannot tolerate the acts of the enemy, especially if the enemy despises His name. God will bring us good news, peace and happiness soon. Hallelujah!
Today, God uses intercessors to bring the good news to His people in need. As the enemy’s oppression is exposed, our prayers become the beautiful “feet”. The key point is that these feet must first stand on mountains facing Zion and then proclaim salvation. I sense that one of the gracious purposes that God gave the name “Zion” to our ZAMIE church is for this great cause. Let more of such prayers come out of ZAMIE to bring God’s people out of oppression to victory. Let our prayers help set Israel free as well. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your promise and your word. As the enemy continually despises your name, let us continually proclaim your good news to the people under oppression. May our church become your beautiful feet to deliver peace and salvation to all nations around the world. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
