WHAT:
- Prairie View Trail has a moderate rating with some incline and rocky terrain so bring good footwear. It is a shorter 11km hike (roughly 4-5 hours) so we can afford to take our time and go at our pace. There is a stunning view of the mountains, valley and lake at the end so we can stop and take lots of majestic pictures!

CARPOOLING:
- We will be leaving the church together on Saturday at 6.00 am but we are requesting for everyone to find their own ride for the trip ahead of time.
- If you are new to the group and don’t know who to head down with please don’t hesitate to reach out and we’ll gladly help find you someone to drive with.
- We are usually lacking drivers so please don’t hesitate to volunteer to drive.
- Please bring change to help pay for gas if you are carpooling.
- Drivers, please make sure you are starting with a full tank to minimize stops.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Packed lunch & snacks for the day
- At least 2L of water for the hike
- Good hiking footwear & socks
- Weather appropriate clothing
(rain jacket/sweater, etc) - Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Bug spray
- Daypack
- Hiking poles
- Camera/spare batteries
- Bear spray in a belt holster (Always recommended when hiking in the mountains)
ITINERARY:
- Be at CCC, ready to go, no later than 6.00 am; it’s early, so out of respect for everyone else, please be on time
- Drive to Kananaskis
- Hike
- Drive home

- Contributing towards gas
