In your majesty ride out victoriously for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; let your right hand teach you awesome deeds! Psalm 45:4

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13

This is a season for spiritual warfare. While I worried about my capability of taking up the whole armor of God, God’s word has comforted me. This battle is to be fought not by my own skill but by God’s help. If I fought a battle on my own, I would teach my right hand to wield a sword. But this time, God will hold my right hand to kill the enemy. I will witness the event in which my right hand teaches me the awesome deeds. Praise the Lord for His awesome work!

I often wondered about the purpose of victory in spiritual war. Deliverance, healing and freedom in my life are certainly good outcomes from a spiritual battle. I thank God for His mighty work in me! But this season God intends to show us the ultimate purpose of victory. “For the cause of” in Psalm 45:4 actually means “for the speech of” in Hebrew. Our God will make a speech of His truth, Jesus’ meekness and His righteousness to the world. While our right hands being controlled by God are teaching us His wonderful deeds, we are also to witness the God’s truth, meekness and righteousness being broadcasted around the world!

Heavenly Father, thank you for your precious word. Besides thanking for your instruction about spiritual war through my right hand, let me also participate in your meekness. You bless the meek so that they shall inherit the earth. Let my meekness before you grow each day and let me forever be connected to one of the ultimate purposes of your victory on earth. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
