Knowing the will of God begins with knowing God Himself. God calls us into the secret place, a life of personal prayer where we spend time with Him, grow in relationship with Him, and learn His heart. Prayer is more than bringing our needs before God; it is knowing Him, becoming like Him, and discovering His desire for our lives. Daniel remained a man of prayer through changing kingdoms, cultures, circumstances, and positions. His status changed, but his prayer remained. In the same way, our circumstances may change, but our devotion to God must remain steadfast.
