Matthew 22:10-11 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
When we were called into Christ, we could be good or bad by human standards. But then the standard has changed. Salvation brought in a robe of righteousness from Christ. Without this garment, no goodness in us qualifies us for the Kingdom of Heaven. Praise the Lord that He put this garment on each of us even though I do not often feel its presence. I long for the visible effect of the robe of righteousness on my character. Amen.
Meanwhile, I believe that putting on Christ is not merely wearing a robe of righteousness. Our Lord promised us another garment as He was about to ascend to Heaven (Luke 24:49) and this garment is power! As the end time approaches us at supersonic speed, so is the coming of His power. To receive this garment, we only need to be obedient, stay in the designated place and wait for it. Let us be prepared for this great moment!
Father, thank you for your precious garments for us. We feel undeserved but you are a gracious God. Let all garments from you cover us and truly transform us into your faithful servant. As we are all eagerly waiting for the power to come to us, may your Kingdom come with the power, not just to transform individuals but to transform the region and transform the world! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
